The UnBlogged July

July was a busy month, and I'm proud of how many posts I got around to posting.
Believe it or not, there were still many things that I didn't post at all.
Here are some things I actually have pictures of
If only I could get into the habit or recording every fun thing with pictures,
there'd be quite a bit more blog posts for you to read...
{Maybe it's a good thing that I forget to use my camera most of the time}

Shaded park time with our buddies

Snoballs have become our Tuesday routine after lunch and story time

I think this was C&K's first snoball visit

Cars2 and Super8 at the drive-in with Kris and her brother and sister and soon to be, brother in law

We got there early so the kids enjoyed playing and running around on the lawn before the movie started.

Light Saber action

Teeth cleaning for KennaKat at the dentist.

2 Very successful dentist visits for Ethylwolfe.
1 teeth cleaning and 1 tiny cavity filled.
No tears, no drama, just right.

Lots of slips and slides for KennaKat

The kids met their cousin B2

Being a good mommy and helping her baby see out of the window.

Pretending to be the story man at the library and reading to her babies.

Snoballs and service with P&K

Their second trip to Snoballs with us this month :)

Random picture taken by KennaKat at the snoball place of a passing semi
And that's the rest of our month, that we at least took pictures of.

Can you believe it's August???
3 of us will be turning a year older this month...
Good thing we don't celebrate B-days, or we'd be broke.
{Oh wait, we already are, ha}
Ethylwolfe will be 6, Hubster will be 29 {1 more year to old man status}, and I'll be 27.
I hope this weather eases up on us.
I noticed that for the next 10 days, there will be NO 100+ degree days...
Hopefully they are right.

Monday Service

Last Monday afternoon,
we met up with Tricia and joined her in service.
It was short, but sweet.

I enjoyed a long call with another sister, and we shared many scriptural points to a group of people who were very interested in learning what the Bible had to say.
While Tricia kept the kids content in the car.
Tricia took Ethylwolfe on a RV and they look mighty comfy sitting on that porch don't they?

Snoballs and Spiritual Food

We had our CO visit two weeks ago and it was wonderful!

KennaKat and I got to work with sister F during the week
along with many other great friends.

I placed 2 books!

We also had the privilege of enjoying lunch with them twice.

The kids grew really attached by the end of the week.

Sister F knew exactly how to handle KennaKat's moods and KennaKat loved her.  Brother F was caught throwing KennaKat up in the air and tickling her before the meeting for service.

Ethylwolfe drew a picture for them with himself, KennaKat,
and the two of them in the Paradise.

They wrote him a thank you card back.
{He grinned from ear to ear}

On Sunday, we had Heather, Kaile, and Bryan join us with a meeting attendance of 245!
We of course, had to take them to get their very first snoballs after the meeting!

Ethylwolfe had fun taking pictures of himself ...and others.

We can't wait until another visit from the F's!!!
~Come back soon~

Hello there!

I know it has been a while since I have blogged, but what can I say, we've been busy!

April was a busy month for being in the ministry.  I got to work with almost every member of the family this month, which made it even more extra special.

P&K came around one Wednesday and worked with KennaKat, Lisa Pizza, and myself.  Followed by a lunch visit with Ethylwolfe.  That was a beautiful day and Ethylwolfe was very happy to see his aunt and uncle at his school! (Sorry, forgot to take pictures)

KennaKat and I joined Nani and Joann one Tuesday and that was a very fine morning.  Followed by lunch at one of our favorite Chinese eateries. (Again, forgot to use the camera)

To complete the fun, Bri and Nate came into town and we worked together for several hours on the last Saturday of the month.  Followed by some fantastic Pina Coladas and lunch provided by Nani.(Again, no images of proof)

Other service days were filled with visiting friends in other halls and getting to know members of my own congregation better.  It was a very joyful month, filled with BEAUTIFUL weather!

But that's not all our month had to offer...

Trips to the mall and lunch @ the pizza kitchen

Breakfast before school @ Ihop

Another haircut
Bye-bye 5 more inches of hair

Tower construction with Ethylwolfe

A day off of school means lunch with daddy @ Costco,
dessert @ LoYo, followed by running around ToysRUs

Kick Starting Date Night switch off
Watching 2 babies and 2 of my kid's best buds
~Smiling babies means Kid Night was a success~

Dessert from Guglhupf Bakery
and lots of hugs and kisses for Lani

A New Friend

Look who has a new friend!
We had the pleasure of working with Lisa in service all day Wednesday.  Slowly but surely, Lisa won over KennaKat's heart.
This is the last house that we worked.
As Lisa got out to go with another sister, KennaKat demanded
"I want to go with Lisa!"
{She remained in Lisa's arms the entire time}
Yep, someone has a new friend and her name is Lisa Pizza.
She even screamed "I WOVE WEESA PIZZA!" about a million times.
Little Miss was not happy about saying "good-bye" either.
...I'm only a little jealous...

My Ethylwolfe is growing up...

April second has come and gone.

Today started the campaign for the Memorial of Jesus' death.  It was a simply beautiful day.  Clear skies, bright and cheery, a little chilly but not too bad.  There was wind though....  I must admit that I wish that I had rethought the flowy skirt for today's service attire.  On more than one occasion, I felt my skirt flying up around me when a big gust blew in.  I worked with Ethylwolfe in service and I was using him and everything I had, to hold down my free spirited wardrobe....I was NOT trying to have a Marilyn Monroe moment....yikes.

Speaking of Ethylwolfe, (every time I think about that name, I just laugh.  Really Babe, you really thought that naming our son Duncan Ethylwolfe would be a good choice?  Really?....Thank you for not sticking to your first selection, thank you very much.)

Now, back to my story....

I worked with Ethylwolfe this morning in service.  Just my buddy and me.  He was able to present the invitations at the doors, and I must admit that I was grinning from ear to ear as he gave his presentation.  Here's what most of his presentations sounded like....

"Hello, my name is _____.  I have a special invitation for you and your family.  I would like for you to come to the Memorial of Jesus Death."  He would then show them the invitation and open it up for the details of the location and time.

He was so cute at his first door.  Slightly nervous.  "Now what should I say again mom?"  Then he'd repeat and repeat and repeat.  The first time someone answered, he got it so jumbled but in the end said, "please come, it's very important, it's Jesus' memorial!"  While holding the invitation up to the guy.  His heart melted and he sincerely thanked him and said he would try to come.

I love when we have special invitations to pass out because it makes it much easier for him to give a full presentation by himself.  He's been doing it for several years now, this one being the longest one, and sounding waaay too grown up.

During our service day, he kept making sure that we saved an invitation for his Papa, so that he could come too.  (He thinks everyone needs a personal invitation or they can't come:)  He practiced for a bit on what he wanted to say to Papa when he gave him his invitation, but I think when we saw them later in the day, he forgot and just handed it to him :)  Nani made us a nice dinner and we got to spend the rest of the day with them.  It was hard pulling KennaKat away ;)

Having children is a very emotional, bittersweet experience.  Every day changes.  They grow right before my eyes.  Every accomplishment is a wonderful celebration and it makes me so proud, but boy, it really is tear-jerking to realize that they are getting older.  Every milestone takes them further and further away from that sweet little bundle of perfection that I held and kissed the very first time we met.  I can't wait to see the man and little woman that they become, but I hope to catch and savor, all of the little moments that come before then.
