Hello there!

I know it has been a while since I have blogged, but what can I say, we've been busy!

April was a busy month for being in the ministry.  I got to work with almost every member of the family this month, which made it even more extra special.

P&K came around one Wednesday and worked with KennaKat, Lisa Pizza, and myself.  Followed by a lunch visit with Ethylwolfe.  That was a beautiful day and Ethylwolfe was very happy to see his aunt and uncle at his school! (Sorry, forgot to take pictures)

KennaKat and I joined Nani and Joann one Tuesday and that was a very fine morning.  Followed by lunch at one of our favorite Chinese eateries. (Again, forgot to use the camera)

To complete the fun, Bri and Nate came into town and we worked together for several hours on the last Saturday of the month.  Followed by some fantastic Pina Coladas and lunch provided by Nani.(Again, no images of proof)

Other service days were filled with visiting friends in other halls and getting to know members of my own congregation better.  It was a very joyful month, filled with BEAUTIFUL weather!

But that's not all our month had to offer...

Gymnastics

A while ago Heather invited us to join Kaile in her gymnastics class.  It was bring a friend day.  We were unable to come.  The next time around, she invited us again, so we set up the date.  That time Kaile was sick so we were unable to get together.  The following week the gym called me and asked if we would like to set up a make up date.  "Sure!" I said.  So they set the date for a few weeks later.  I am happy to report that nothing stopped us from finally getting together this time!

The staff was very friendly.  KennaKat was the first one there, so she played with the toys while waiting on the other kids to arrive.

The first activity was music, she was a little shy, but had a lot of fun.

They then warmed up by doing various running around activities.  She LOVED this!

They had a lot of fun doing all of the different activities.  KennaKat had a blast!  I stopped taking pictures and moved on to videos.  I tried to share them but for some reason, I keep getting errors.  I was completely surprised at how well KennaKat did.  She wasn't shy, listened to the teacher, tried everything, and had lots of fun!  Kaile was a good friend and stuck with her where ever she went.  It was cute watching her from the "parents viewing area" and even through the glass I could hear her emphatic "I did it!" after succeeding at something new!  So proud of her!  Thanks Heather for this special treat!

The girls as we are about to leave.  KennaKat was NOT happy to leave, she had such a blast!

After gym class we treated ourselves to some Guglhupf tastiness.  This time, we sat inside :)

I really liked the lights that they put inside of the cement

As the girls are playing over here, Kaile sweetly says to KennaKat "You are my best friend"  She is such a sweet heart :)

The girls both got a chocolate tartlet.  KennaKat ate almost all of hers, Kaile did not like hers at all.  One bite in and she said "Yucky!"

She did enjoy touching hers though :)

Black Indian Spiced Chai Latte...mmmmm!

I HAD to try their cream puffs....best cream puff EVER!

The outside, it was a gorgeous day!

As we were leaving, we let the girls play around the fountain.  They loved it.

Watching the leaves fall

I have to pee!

Crafting with Friends (Birdseed hangers)

Heather and Kaile invited us over to craft with them today.  We were going to make bird seed hangers.  Heather bought the supplies and asked me to bring the molds.  Well, as it turns out, I could not find any of my molds so after I dropped Ethylwolfe off at school, I planned to drop by a craft store and pick up some cute ones.  Craft stores don't open until 9am, and I was heading over at 8:30.  What to do with that little extra time???  To Guglhupf Bakery we go!  I am in love with the tarts that Guglhupf has to offer, so I was very earger to pay them a visit.

I don't think KennaKat has been here since she was a baby, so she was very excited to see what they had to offer as well.  They have an awesome artsy atmosphere, and outside they have a water fountain.  It was 25 degrees outside when we visited Guglhupf that morning, and KennaKat was so excited they had a fountain, she begged me to eat outside.  Can you say buuuurrrrrrr?

Thoroughly enjoying the fountain...

I love being able to spend time with my little girl :)

KennaKat wanted to take a picture of me...

For herself, she chose a delicious chocolate tartlet, she ate almost every last crumb of this delicious specimen... (I was hoping she would have some left over to share)

YUM!

I chose the berry tartlet, it was delicious.  I offered to share, she said "no thanks", then I quickly gobbled the rest up :)

I was sad to see it go, but my tummy was delighted to meet it's acquaintance.

Another large bite...

After our delicious trip to the bakery, we hurried over to the art store and purchased several different mold containers.  Then we rushed over to Heathers house to start our crafting.....

Birdseed and gelatin

Bowls for mixing

3 cups seed, 1 cup boiling water, 1 pack gelatin

Jen and her 2 sweet kids joined in our crafting day.

Scoop ingredients into desired molds

Even the adorable Biscuit made one

The kiddies crafting away

After they had their share, the mommies finished up this craft and then we went outside to play.

The end result:
Well, sad to say the gelatin didn't set up.  I poured more gelatin in my molds and today it's still too wet.  I have one final mold still hanging out in the fridge.  Hopefully after a few days, maybe it will set up.  The rest of the molds are drying on paper towels on the counter.  I am hoping they will set up soon, so that we can hang our presents for the birds among the branches outside...

Next time I will use less water.
